Catawba Riverkeeper

Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation describes itself as the only nonprofit, on-the-water advocate for the entire 8,900 miles of waterways in the Catawba-Wateree River Basin, working across 26 counties in North and South Carolina. It protects water resources serving more than 2 million residents through scientific water quality monitoring, enforcement of environmental regulations, and advocacy. The organization also runs community engagement and experiential education programs to build stewardship of the watershed.
