The Chattooga Conservancy works to protect the ecological health of the Chattooga River watershed, spanning Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina in the Southern Appalachians, home to the first Wild & Scenic River corridor designated in the Southeast. Its work includes water quality monitoring, invasive species management, prescribed fire initiatives, and advocacy on issues affecting the river corridor.
