Dan Riverkeeper
Dan Riverkeeper is a program of Good Stewards, an accredited 501(c)(3) based in Mayodan, NC, that joined the global Waterkeeper Alliance in 2019. A full-time riverkeeper works to protect and restore the Dan River watershed through frequent water quality testing, regular patrols, and community engagement, including advocacy work such as opposing proposed nuclear development near Belews Creek.
