Environmental Initiative

Environmental Initiative is a Minneapolis nonprofit, founded in 1991, that brings together business, nonprofit, government, and community leaders to build collaborative solutions to Minnesota's environmental and public health challenges. Its work includes clean air projects (vehicle repair and fleet conversion programs), water protection through a Source Water Protection Collaborative, sustainable agriculture via a Midwest Row Crop Collaborative, and environmental justice coordination. Rather than acting alone, it operates by convening partnerships across sectors to improve air, land, and water outcomes.
