Environmental Law & Policy Center Of The Midwest

The Environmental Law & Policy Center (ELPC) is a Chicago-based public interest environmental advocacy organization whose stated mission is to "advocate, innovate, and litigate to protect the Midwest's environment from the Great Lakes to the Great Plains." Its staff of attorneys, policy analysts, and scientists works on climate, clean energy, and clean air, water, and transportation issues across nine Midwest states plus Washington, D.C., including litigation such as suing the EPA over air permits and pushing to convert polluted industrial sites into public lakefront space near Chicago.
