Everything Starts Small

Everything Starts Small is an international, youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Fremont, California, working to make society more environmentally sustainable by empowering young people to lead climate action in their own communities. Its initiatives include the Coffee Grounds Project (winner of the 2023-2024 IB Youth Action Fund grant), an Indigenous Peoples Project focused on sustainable knowledge from Taiwan's indigenous communities, beach cleanups, school climate talks, and Ark Review, a literary magazine for youth environmental voices. The organization has grown to over 100 student volunteers reaching roughly 2,000 youth across eight countries.
